I founded Matt Herrington Photography in February 2013, aged 16.

My story.

I started wedding photography at the age of 13, as part of my dad's business. At that time, I was always the "secondary" photographer. This role allowed me to learn how a wedding day worked, but more importantly for me - how the photographer went about telling the story of the day.

After grasping the basics of wedding photography, and my camera, I began to photograph weddings as the primary photographer.

I soon started to discover the connection that photography gave to me with people. That's when I realized this is what I wanted to do.

My Style

To me, photography is all about documenting. Documenting people, and their stories, therefore most of my favourite photographs are natural ones, as moments unfold.

People and places are my favourite subjects to photograph, and combined, they can tell an amazing story.

I love getting to know my clients. I believe the key to getting great pictures is having a relaxed connection with people. Putting people at ease is my priority.

My style can be described as natural, creative and documentary, and I love taking wedding photography to the next level when I have the opportunity to be creative.

I don't work within a studio, so most of my best work is created using natural light. I love scouting for inspirational locations, to create unique images.
